When I was little, and as yet unable to understand the passing of time, I thought that each holiday season was neither in one year or the next. It was the Christmas Season of say, 2006 AND 2007. I never understood what year an ornament or decoration was referring to when it only had one date on it. Like if it said, 2006, was that the 05/06 season, or the 06/07 season?
Don't worry, I get it now.

Dude, I totally got you christmas card! But....um....we ran out. And it's kind of late to send you an xmas card, but I'll email you the xmas picture! So it's ind of like the same thing, but without paper!
